First day in the DR!

The team arrived safe and sound at the Dominican Republic on Saturday, and got into full swing with local worship services Sunday morning. Scroll down for pictures!
The team arrived at the Santa Domingo Airport and was bussed to the Score International Complex in Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic.

A local girl listens as a bible lesson is taught.

A young Dominican boy poses for a snapshot.

Dr. Bob Nilson leads a Bible study during Sunday morning's church service. Nilson is on staff as a medical missionary with Score International.

A young Dominican boy shows off a craft he made during children's church. In English, the balloon reads "God Loves Me."

This morning we got to share in worship services with a local church plant that met at the Score Complex. It was such a blessing to share worship songs and fellowship with believers, that, although from a different culture, were not all that different from us. We read from the same Bible and sang the same songs (only in Spanish!) The sincerity and heart of the local believers here was an encouragement to all.

Onward to baseball practice!

  2. Can someone be sure that someone takes a picture of David and posts it for me? The problem with being the photographer, is your family doesn't get to see you!
